Greetings & Appreciation!

Greetings & Appreciation!October is pastors’ appreciation month. Appreciation is simply the expression of gratitude. Part of our Christian calling is to be appreciative and have a disposition that expresses it. Apostle Paul, in his theology of salutation, expresses a deep sense of gratitude to certain individuals in Romans 16. Paul salutes men and women who sacrificed a lot for his sake and the gospel. He ended up instructing believers in the church to greet one another with a holy kiss, i.e., a form of genuine expression of greetings that flows out of deep gratitude. I want to salute my coworkers in Christ Jesus, who risked and sacrificed so much to support me and the work of the gospel. I appreciate your prayers, encouragement, and support. I also appreciate your toiling for the sake of the gospel and the edification of the church. I have gained so much through your ministry. Additionally, I appreciate the church for all the prayers and support. I praise God for the spiritual growth and “holy kiss” that gives me the impetus to keep striving with the strength of Christ that works powerfully in me (Col. 1:29). “I pray that he may grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power in your inner being through his Spirit and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love, and to know Christ’s love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Eph 3:16–19).
